Sandy has a passion for hospice that stems from 40 years of being a family doctor. She worked within many nursing homes with individuals and families, and upon retirement, wished to continue to make an impact with people during such an important time of life.
Sandy believes that the end of life is a time where people need to be recognized and embraced, and our current society tends to avoid confronting the topic all together. The end of life is not an if, but a when, and by using better language we may begin to have more acceptance of how life is finite. By accepting the fact that life does not go on forever, we may begin to live more fulfilled and better lives while we are here.
Sandy believes in the saying “Aspire to inspire before you expire”.
